LUTON TOWN Loanee is set to return amid relegation fight says new manager and…..
I make an effort to stay up to date on the progress of the numerous players that are on loan.
However, in the process, it has become abundantly evident that one person, a certain Joseph Taylor, is the one who consistently makes the most news.
Joe, who began the season at Colchester United in League 2, is currently playing for Lincoln City in League 1, having advanced a division at the Hatters’ request during the January transfer window.
Moving up a division hasn’t stopped Joe from scoring a lot of points, though.
After leaving struggling Colchester United with eight goals and two assists, Joe joined Lincoln City and has since scored twelve more goals and provided two more assists.
But in doing so, Joe finds himself in a unique position as the season picks up steam. As of mid-March, he leads both clubs in goals scored, which is quite an accomplishment given that he left Colchester United in January and has played for Lincoln City for less than three months.
Having scored 20 goals so far is a respectable accomplishment, and there’s a good possibility he’ll reach the 25 goal plateau by the end of the year.
One frequently voiced viewpoint on social media pertains to Joe’s current situation with the Hatters, where he was allowed out on loan. However, it must be noted that, in August, Joe was somewhat lower on the team’s hierarchy, and the Luton Town management clearly believed the young striker needed regular football to develop his obvious talents.
Though it’s always nice to look back, it’s clear from this story that Joe is making every effort to make sure he plays for the Hatters next season, whether they play in the Premier League or the EFL Championship!
