Miami Grand prix:Max Verstappen receives major Red B…Read more

Max Verstappen is set to benefit from a major upgrade to his Red Bull RB21 as the team looks to regain its competitive edge ahead of the Miami Grand Prix. The upgrade package includes a redesigned floor and a more efficient front wing, aimed at improving overall balance and reducing tire degradation—an area where Red Bull has recently struggled against rivals like McLaren.

The updates are part of Red Bull’s strategic push to keep Verstappen in the title hunt, especially as other teams have begun closing the gap in both one-lap pace and race-day performance. Verstappen, who has faced tougher challenges this season compared to his dominant run last year, remains confident that the new components will bring the improvements needed to stay competitive.

Though Red Bull has consistently delivered strong performances, the team has admitted that high tire wear has cost them valuable race pace, particularly in hotter conditions. The latest upgrades have been tailored to counter this weakness, offering Verstappen a better chance of maintaining speed over longer stints.

With the Miami Grand Prix also hosting a sprint race, the team will have an extra opportunity to test the updates in real competition and gather valuable data. Verstappen is expected to make the most of every session as he looks to reclaim momentum in the championship battle.

All eyes will be on the upgraded RB21 this weekend, as Red Bull hopes the changes are enough to put Verstappen back on top and reassert their dominance in the 2025 season.
