The United States National Snooker Championship will be back in Houston, Texas, in 2024, after Q Billiards was awarded the opportunity to host this prestigious event for the first time from May 24 – 27.

This will be the third time that the Championship has been played in Houston, with the two previous occasions being at different locations in 2016 and 2019. Though each time the host proprietor has been Mr. Syed Hassan, who has been enthusiastic exponent of snooker in Houston over the past few years in providing facilities for the city’s many snooker players.

Q Billiards has five regulation standard snooker tables of which this year’s Championship can utilize over the four days of competition.

This year will see the return of the Championship being played over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, of which had been the case from 2007 until 2018 except for 2010 and 2011.

Alan Morris, the Executive Director of the United States Snooker Association (USSA), commented: “There is a considerable snooker following in the Houston area, so I am very pleased that we can tap into that enthusiasm and interest by staging the Championship there once again.

“On behalf of the Board of the USSA I would like to thank Mani (Mr. Syed Hassan) for his continued long-term support for the Championship, which brings so many new and established players together each year for what will be yet another magnificent event.”

Entry for this year’s Championship will be available exclusively on the USSA’s Cloud Snooker system.

Further details on how to sign up to a USSA Membership account on Cloud Snooker, and how to enter the Championship will be published shortly in the 2024 Championship Rules & Conditions of Entry document.
