Hundreds, possibly thousands, of Manchester United and Liverpool fans were stuck in traffic and missed a pre-season friendly in South Carolina.
The game at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, which seats 77,500, saw fans arriving late and missing most of the first half. Liverpool led 2-0 with goals from Fabio Carvalho and Curtis Jones.
One fan expressed frustration on X, saying they had been in traffic for 1.5 hours.
Another observer noted fans running into the stadium well after kick-off. Matt Dowell compared the traffic to a busy Football/State Fair Saturday in Columbia.
Williams-Brice Stadium, home to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, is not a host for the 2026 World Cup.
