Callum Wilson, a striker for Newcastle, has officially made it official that he won’t be available for tonight’s Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

For the first time in more than 20 years, Champions League soccer will be played at St. James’ Park, but one of Eddie Howe’s key players won’t be there.

Wilson, who cost Newcastle £20 million from Bournemouth in 2020, is yet to play at home in a competition. He will now have to wait for his chance to face top European teams in front of the Newcastle fans.

With it appearing like Sven Botman and Harvey Barnes would miss the match, Newcastle is already dealing with a number of problems; Wilson’s absence further hurts their chances of winning.

There will be many more. Unfortunately for me, I won’t be in the game, but it is what it is,” Wilson said.
