Newcastle United prepares a move for Andersen when a bid is made
Joachim Andersen, a star for Crystal Palace, is being actively watched by Newcastle United ahead of the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.
The 27-year-old center-back has been a target for the Magpies for some time, and they made a late-summer offer that Palace turned down.
Newcastle, though, is still eager to bolster their defensive unit in January and is prepared to come back to the table with a bid to sign Andersen.
Andersen is reportedly still one of Newcastle’s top targets for the January transfer season.
In his first seven Premier League games with the Eagles in 2023–24, the Danish defender has scored twice.
His first goal of the campaign came in the 1-1 draw with Brentford in August, then on Saturday afternoon, September 30, he doubled his total with a spectacular shot in the victory over Manchester United.
