Newcastle united set to sign winger.
After Minteh’s loan at Feyenoord expires, he will sign for Newcastle the following summer.
Minteh, who cost Newcastle £7 million from Danish club Odense, became the club’s first summer acquisition. He was soon loaned to Feyenoord, the reigning Dutch champions. Though he has only made four starts for Feyenoord across all leagues, the 19-year-old has scored in three of his past four Eredivisie games.
In a 3-1 victory over Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday, his most recent goal was a beautiful solo effort that started the scoring.
Along with his impressive play at the club level, Minteh received his first senior cap for the Gambia during the international break, where he also scored.
