NFL Power Rankings: Cowboys Move Up Against Eagles to Join Contenders

Here you may find the Power Rankings. Without a doubt, Kadarius Toney was offsides. And while I don’t believe the error represents a reflection on Toney the person (please don’t judge him), I do find it absurd that we are arguing about something so trivial. A strong fan base should be able to accept that their player will be called for being so offsides that he is physically preventing the backside official from seeing where the ball is placed.

If the receiver is straddling a centimeter in the wrong direction, I believe the official should assist him, as long as they have completed all other pre-snap duties, such as making sure there are only 11 players on the field (try counting that quickly on the ground at Arrowhead during a close game). A representative observing Toney positioned as he was? Probably more than anything else, it was distracting. Like, this person is bound to apologize at some point, right? It reminds me of a DMV clerk observing someone linger in front of the yellow “stand here” tape. Who takes that action?
