PSG’s top star is reportedly being courted by Liverpool.
An intriguing new rumor from TEAMtalk suggests that Liverpool might actually make the unprecedented step of signing Kylian Mbappe next summer—but only if Salah departs Anfield.
Liverpool may be able to sign Kylian Mbappe if Mohamed Salah is sold next summer, but they will have to defeat Real Madrid in order to get his services, as TEAMtalk can disclose.
The forward, whose contract is about to expire, has informed the French team that he is eager to depart, and many believe he will sign with Real Madrid. But insiders have told TEAMtalk that other teams are eyeing him, including Premier League powerhouse Liverpool, who would be thrilled to add a new, elite player like Mbappe to their lineup.”
Given that Mbappe is undoubtedly the best player of his generation, it would be an absolutely incredible business move for Liverpool to be able to lure him to the team the following season. The striker for Paris Saint-Germain, who is only twenty-four, has already won the World Cup. He also scored three goals in the team’s championship match against Argentina the year before. In all, he has scored 229 goals in 277 games for PSG.
Since Mbappe is one of the few players in world football capable of consistently delivering top-notch results, he is actually the one player with whom it would make sense to replace Salah. Piotr Zielinski, a midfielder for Napoli, has called him a “alien” and pointed out that he is seven years Junior to the Liverpool star.
Although a move to Real Madrid appears to be more likely at the end of this season, it is difficult to see Salah coming to Anfield. If Salah does depart, though, the Reds will need to be searching for a player of Mbappe’s caliber to take his place in the summer.
