PUNDIT reveals secrets of winning Manchester united to COVENTRY CITY new coach as the semi finals is……
The FA have confirmed that Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final with Coventry City will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, April 21, with kick-off at 3.30pm.
United booked their place in the final four of the competition with a dramatic 4-3 comeback victory over Liverpool last weekend, as they look to go one better from their runners-up finish in the tournament last season.
Coventry, who are managed by United hero Mark Robins, secured their place in the last four for the first time since winning the famous competition in 1987, and only second time in the club’s history, when they came from behind to defeat Wolves last weekend.
It was revealed on Friday, the FA were forced to change the kick-off time of United’s semi-final clash with Coventry after it was deemed a ‘high-risk’ fixture by the Metropolitan Police. The FA had initially requested the clash took place at 4pm on Sunday afternoon, but the kick-off time has now been brought forward by 30 minutes to 3:30pm.
That means United and Coventry will already know their potential FA Cup final opponents before they face each other, with City and Chelsea set to clash at 5:15pm on Saturday 20 April.
