Report:After speaking with his agent, the Everton star will undoubtedly depart.
Aside from their unfortunate penalty-filled departure from the Carabao Cup, Everton has been playing at their best recently under Sean Dyche, who has utilized the team’s point punishment to spur them on to formidable form in the Premier League. It would be a huge victory for everyone at Goodison Park if the Toffees were to easily avoid relegation and possibly even climb into mid-table.
The good news might end there, though, as a rumor claims the Toffees will surely lose a prominent player after his representatives had discussions with a major European team. This might be a serious setback for Dyche as he aims to carry on changing Everton.
In terms of hiring in the summer, Everton performed admirably, bringing in players like Ashley Young and Jack Harrison, among others, who have helped them avoid the dropzone in spite of the deduction.
The fact that Merseysiders would be above Chelsea and as high as 10th place at the very least if not for the 10 points they dropped due to the Premier League’s decision may irritate some. The Toffees could now suffer a further setback off the field.
Amadou Onana will “undoubtedly” leave Everton, according to Foot Mercato, after his representative recently had discussions with Barcelona, the biggest team in Spain. The La Liga team is apparently considering a summer move for the Belgian, and they are not deterred by his €55 million (£48 million) price tag.
However, Barcelona may have to compete with Manchester United for the midfield player’s signature as they have also been linked to a move for the Everton player. Nevertheless, it appears that the Spaniards are paving the way, having previously had discussions with Onana’s representative.
