Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Golden Richards passed away at 73 due to congestive heart failure. His brother Doug confirmed the news, while his nephew Lance expressed his happiness over his uncle’s peaceful death.

Richards, drafted by the Cowboys in 1973, played five seasons in Dallas, including the 1977 Super Bowl run, best known for a touchdown in a trick play.

In the fourth quarter, the Cowboys led 20-10, but a touchdown by Richards by fullback Robert Newhouse secured the championship for Dallas.
