The loss of a seasoned coach on Monday saddens the Atlanta Braves.

Pat Corrales, a former MLB catcher who became a manager and coach, passed away this week. He was eighty-two.

“Rest in peace, great Pat Corrales, 82, a fiery manager, player, and baseball executive with an amazing history. Being acquainted with him and spending time with him was an honor, according to Bob Nightengale.
Braves have verified the unsettling information on

Monday in the afternoon.

As the Braves’ longstanding bench coach, Corrales contributed to the team’s 1990 World Series victory.

From 1964 to 1973, he was a player in the league; from 1978 to 1987, he managed the team.

Corrales was a coach for the Nationals, Yankees, and Rangers as well.

I hope he finds peace.
