Sean Dyche going to bench Everton star from starting lineup against Brighton.
Due to his midweek performance against Burnley, Sean Dyche is probably going to bench Arnaut Danjuma from Everton’s starting lineup for their match against Brighton.
The Toffees play Brighton this Saturday, November 4, at Goodison Park. Brighton will be attempting to make it to Europe this season.
The Toffees, who are involved in yet another relegation struggle this season, have lower expectations.
But as of late, they’ve been playing better, and on Thursday, November 1, they defeated Burnley 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.
Dyche, who dislikes switching up players too much, tried to offer Danjuma, who started behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a unique opportunity.
The Netherlands international, who won Player of the Season at Bournemouth in 2020–21, did not, however, have the desired effect.
He only made 17 touches during the game, and his pass accuracy was only 71%, according to Sofascore.
In addition, he was unsuccessful in his lone effort at a ground duel and made no tangible contribution to Dyche’s side.
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s work rate is something the Toffees manager is used to, and the midfielder can also contribute with important goals.
Danjuma is now having trouble adjusting to the manager’s methods and may not have a bright future at Goodison Park.
