According to sources that spoke with Football Insider, Everton intends to let Andre Gomes to depart the team in 2024.

Due to injuries, the 30-year-old has not played a single minute this season and will have his contract expire at the end of the 2023–24 season.

The 30-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of the 2023–24 season, and he hasn’t played a minute this season due to injury.

Amid concerns that his issues are persistent and that he may never be able to perform at his prior level again, Sean Dyche has not provided an estimated timeline for when he might be fit for play.

Gomes is another high earner; his weekly contract is said to be around £120,000.

The midfielder’s May 2022 Everton game was his last.

The next season, he played for Lille, where he made 27 appearances, scored three goals, and provided two assists.

The Benfica youth product was not, however, pursued permanently by the French team.

Gomes arrived at Everton on a first loan from Barcelona in 2018 and has since made 100 appearances overall for the team.

After making an impression during that brief stint, the former Valencia player cost £22 million and agreed to a five-year contract at Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche’s team currently has Amadou Onana, James Garner, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Idrissa Gueye, and Tyler Onyango as midfield options.

Even though they only made two permanent additions during a challenging summer transfer window, Everton is currently five points above the relegation zone and in 15th place.

The Toffees’ next game is on Saturday, November 4 against Brighton.

In other developments, Everton has reached an agreement to sign a talent after positive talks.
