The injury to a Liverpool star could work in Everton’s favor.
After Scotland’s 2-0 loss to Spain on Thursday 12 October, manager Steve Clarke announced through Paul Joyce that the left-back had a shoulder injury.
The Scottish manager added that the 29-year-old will not participate in any more international games and would return to Anfield as he left the field with his arm in a sling.
Following a nasty-looking shoulder injury, it appears improbable that Robertson will recover in time to play against Everton the following week.
The fact that Scotland has already sent him home demonstrates the seriousness of the harm and that the Liverpool defender won’t recover quickly.
That will be a significant loss for the Reds since he is one of their leaders and brings stability at the back in addition to an attacking threat.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp will probably need to substitute Konstantinos Tsimikas for his teammate on the left side of the defense.
The Toffees’ trip to Anfield will be challenging, but Robertson’s injury probably increases their chances of returning with a victory.
