Veteran RB Returns to the Steelers Days After Release: Report
Ahead of Week 16, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a number of roster decisions, including the release of running back Anthony McFarland Jr. However, NFL insider Aaron Wilson revealed less than a week later that the veteran running back is joining the Steelers again.
On December 25, Wilson announced via Twitter that McFarland had joined the Steelers practice squad. McFarland was cut by the Steelers on December 21.
McFarland had been a member of the Steelers for the entire 2023 season before Week 16. He hasn’t really played for another team in his four NFL seasons.
