A 12-year prison sentence was imposed on a sexual predator who preyed on four young ladies.

Finlay Hume was found guilty of 13 crimes in total and was today given a sentence at the Glasgow High Court.

Between June 2013 and November 2021, the victims—who lived in various Ayrshire addresses, such as Kilmarnock and Fenwick—suffered at his hands.

The 39-year-old Hume frequently made lewd remarks to the first woman.

He then proceeded to subject the second victim to a horrific encounter in which he attacked, stalked, and threatened the scared female in addition to raping her when she was first asleep.

According to the prosecution, Hume also threatened to report her to the police.

The third woman received offensive texts and comments from harassers.

Hume also sexually molested and raped the last victim.

Hume, of Fenwick, attended the hearing today via video link from prison.

According to his KC Gary Allan, the sex attacker continues to insist on his innocence in court.

After Hume’s release, Lord Colbeck mandated that he remain under supervision for a further four years.

He claimed that Hume had “clearly exploited” the “relative immaturity” of the victims.

“You continue to deny responsibility for the offences,” the court told him.

“You claim that the victims are plotting your downfall and fabricating accusations against you.

“You show no insight to your behaviour and the impact that it has had on them.”

In addition, Hume received non-harassment orders prohibiting him from communicating with two of the women.
