West ham to sign a star from Wolves in January window.
Nelson Semedo, a defender for Wolves, has been the subject of inquiries from West Ham. FootballTransfers knows this.
The Hammers are seeking for a like-for-like successor for Vladimir Coufal since he is 31 years old, entering the final year of his deal at the London Stadium, and because he is entering the final year of his contract.
Semedo, who has 27 full caps for Portugal’s national team, has been Wolves’ first option at right wing-back since his transfer from Barcelona in September 2020.
Since Coufal has had a strong start to the season, West Ham may be inclined to exercise the years’ extra option on his contract. However, FootballTransfers has learned that the Irons have informed Coufal that they cannot ensure that he will play regularly for the first team, which might prove to be a sticking point.
Semedo may be acquired by Davie Moyes’ team during the upcoming January transfer window.
The expected transfer value of Semedo is €15.9 million. There has been no indication that he would sign new terms before his contract expires in June 2025, nor even that Wolves are considering an offer.
