Bai Yulu won the World Women’s Snooker Championship for the third time in a row.
In an exciting final, China’s Bai Yulu defeated world champion Mink Nutcharut to win her first World Women’s Snooker Championship title.
In Dongguan Changping, China, the 20-year-old prevailed 6-5 after taking the final pink in the closing session.
Bai improved from her defeat in the 2023 final to secure her first-ever spot on the World Snooker Tour.
The 2022 champion, Nutcharut, had not lost a set before the championship match.
However, Bai broke that run in her semi-final match, defeating Reanne Evans, the 12-time champion from England, 5-3, and going up 3-1 with a tournament-high break of 122.
Nutcharut of Thailand rallied to win.
Once more leveling the score, Nutcharut allowed Bai in to pot the brown and the blue, but not before the former champion had the final frame in the balance at 46–43.
She became the first winner from mainland China in the event after sealing the deal on the pink.
