Oswaldo Cabrera’s explosive start to the season was greatly aided by Juan Soto, who is said to have assumed a “leader” role for the Yankees.

According to the report, Cabrera refers to Soto as the “Latin Leader” of the New York Yankees due to his proficiency in both English and Spanish. During spring training, Cabrera, along with shortstop Oswald Peraza and outfielder Everson Pereira, would often gather around Soto near the batting cage to absorb his expertise on batting techniques.

After completing his own batting practice, Soto would take on the role of a teacher, demonstrating his batting mechanics to his teammates as if leading a classroom lesson.
