Charleston transfer added to Louisville James Scott.
Charleston freshman forward James Scott revealed on Sunday his decision to join head coach Pat Kelsey and teammate Reyne Smith at Louisville. Standing at 6’11 and weighing 210 pounds, Scott, who saw an average of only 16 minutes of playtime per game last season, displayed flashes of his potential as a standout collegiate player. Notably, he recorded 45 blocks and boasted an impressive 79.0 percent shooting accuracy from the field, primarily scoring through dunks and close-range shots.
With Scott and Smith now committed, they become the inaugural members of Kelsey’s 2024-25 U of L squad. Meanwhile, sophomore point guard Ty-Laur Johnson remains the lone returning Cardinal from the previous season who has yet to confirm his intentions via the transfer portal.
